In the lead-up to season four of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Amazon Prime commissioned two stylish portraits of the show’s heroine. In true feminist fashion, Amazon opted for Colossal Studios to artist source two New York women for the renderings. The incredible Virginia Zamora and Louisa Cannell were introduced to the project, and the rest was history. 

With the Studio team to guide the process, the artists developed portraits capturing the likeness of actress Rachel Brosnahan and the spirit of her character, Midge. They then hand-rendered uplifting “Midgisms” for a cheeky composition inspiring empowerment. Taking the campaign to Instagram was the final step in the process, promoting the artists, the show, and female fearlessness.
