LABOR OF LOVE

Start Today is the heart of Colossal Media’s culture and community commitments. Founded in 2020, our Start Today program empowers Colossal Media employees to uplift our communities, artists, and causes we care about. Start Today is on a mission to platform artists and issues through our craft, build awareness both internally at Colossal and externally in our communities, and drive sustainable change in the world around us.

Run by a committee of staff members who meet multiple times a month to discuss and plan upcoming events in the form of pro-bono mural projects, volunteer opportunities, fundraising events, and more. We have open conversations in a safe space with participation from senior leadership and across all departments. Our committee comes together to reach a fair consensus on what organizations to align with and create a bespoke partnership that most often includes a mural component, showcasing our love and pride for our craft.

PAINT WITH PURPOSE

We can personally attest to the power of hand paint in gaining attention and spreading the message. Each day we witness the magnetic quality of our medium as passersby stop in their tracks to admire the work we create. Colossal always will be a community-minded organization interested in raising all voices with the help of our craft, and it’s our privilege to create public art for the people.
