The TCS New York City Marathon isn’t just about running, it’s about being moved: physically and emotionally. That’s the message behind this mural. Whether you spent months training for the big day or spent hours cheering on the sidelines, this mural is a celebration of endurance, grit, and go-hard-or-go-home spirit.
Colossal put their finishing touches on the mural and revealed this visual rollercoaster of New York City’s 5 boroughs on the day of the race.
But the whimsical and bright creative, designed by Adam Koon, didn’t just serve as a pretty facade, it came packed with an AR experience, serving passersby with little-known facts about the race course, from the amount of hot dog stands (34,584) to the city’s fastest borough (Brooklyn).
