Monkey 47 Gin

Monkey 47 Gin

Market NEW YORK CITY

Walls 1

You don’t have to live in the Black Forest to get down with Monkey 47. The cult gin brand hit us up to paint a jungle of dreams, featuring a whole lot of monkeys in monocles. As the brand’s first foray in hand paint, it was key that the hyper-detailed botanicals used to distill the gin (and their monkey pals slash ambassadors) were recreated with the utmost attention-to-detail and precision.

Cue production.

4 painters, 14 days (3 of which rained), 10 monkeys, and countless finishing-touches later, the mural came to life both on the streets and on social media. The timelapse video of the process received half a million views on Instagram, creating a buzz around the brand and their connection with craft.

“It is fucking bananas how good it looks. Pun intended.” – Jennifer Schwartz, Brand Leader at Monkey 47 Gin
