Virgin America wanted a high-impact addition to their existing re-branding roll out, so they came to us to make a splash in New York.

We executed two large scale wallscapes derived from the broader campaign in the trendy SoHo shopping district, targeting both in-the-know residents and the hordes of tourists that flock to this neighborhood.

In Brooklyn's Williamsburg neighborhood, Colossal advocated a more playful approach, in concert with the neighborhood's independent and artistic reputation, and the client delivered a unique creative concept.

We painted the words 'Say Goodbye to Mediocre Air Travel' in the upper left hand corner of an otherwise blank, white wall - no direct branding.  Colossal operatives placed Sharpie permanent markers on the wall, and 'seeded' the concept with a few signatures.

Within an hour, 100 passers-by had added tags, signatures, and personal notes the wall. Three days later, over 1000 contributions had been posted, and Williamsburg's first interactive ad was in the history books.
