In continuation of their Art x Platinum project, American Express debuted two new card designs as imagined by the incomparable Julie Mehretu and Kehinde Wiley. The new cards feature their signature artistic motifs — Mehretu’s bold, abstract strokes of color and Wiley’s lush florals.

Our painters adapted these designs to massive scale, dominating the skyline across four major mural walls and transforming Manhattan into a gallery of these new works. This gorgeous demonstration of art-forward marketing captured the attention and imaginations of those passing through.
